Analysis of differential isoform usage by RNA-seq: statistical methodologies and open software
Workshop at ECCB'14, Strasbourg, France, 7th September 2014
RADIANT hosted a workshop at ECCB'14 bringing together leading researchers working on computational tools for exploring differential isoform usage. The aim of the workshop is to help method developers and users better understand the features of current tools and to explore different approaches to method benchmarking. For more information see the workshop page on the ECCB '14 website.
RADIANT is supporting a workshop on mathematical and computational aspects of dealing with big data at the 24th MASAMB workshop, on 11th April 2014.

RADIANT held its 2nd General Meeting at the Institute Marie Curie, Paris on 9-10 January. Participants included members of the RADIANT consortium, Sasa Jenko, RADIANT EC Project Officer, members of the Scientific Advisory Board, and Peter Fraser, invited speaker from The Babraham Institute Cambridge.

The RADIANT project supported the 2013 European Bioconductor Developers' Meeting, hosted by The University of Cambridge. The meeting was aimed at bioinformaticians, programmers and software engineers who contribute to the Bioconductor project, or are interested in developing packages for Bioconductor. For more information click on the link above.
The RADIANT project sponsered a workshop at the EMBL Cancer Genomics Conferece in Heidelberg. The workshop brought together a small set of computational biologists directly involved in designing, benchmarking and applying somatic variant calling, and to exchange technical details and insights that tend to get smoothed over in larger meetings.
A number of papers associated with the work of the RADIANT project have been published this summer. See the Publications section for a full list.

Members of the RADIANT consortium will be teaching at CSAMA 2013, a one-week intensive course on current approaches in statistical and computaional analysis. For more information see the CSAMA 2013 website.
